Context
Originally released in 1969, the Adidas Superstar has moved far beyond its roots in sport to become a defining symbol across music, street culture, and fashion.
Adidas commissioned a visual installation for their UK HQ showroom to capture this legacy—creating a piece that could communicate over five decades of cultural influence within a single, cohesive artwork.

Execution
The installation was created as a large-scale hand-painted window graphic within the Adidas Originals showroom in Stockport.
The composition was built to tell the story of the Superstar—layering references from sport, music, and street culture into a continuous visual flow. Rather than presenting a fixed timeline, the artwork moves fluidly across eras, reflecting how the shoe has been reinterpreted and adopted by different communities over time.
Executed directly onto glass, the piece retains a raw, hand-rendered quality that contrasts with the precision of the retail environment—bringing an immediacy and human touch into the space.
The result sits between illustration and installation, functioning both as a visual centrepiece and as a narrative surface that anchors the showroom environment.
