Context
In 2021, I was commissioned by Deliveroo to create a series of murals as part of a nationwide initiative supporting local, independent food businesses.
The project focused on enhancing the visibility and identity of partner venues—using artwork to celebrate each business while strengthening their connection to the surrounding community.
Rather than a single installation, the work was delivered across multiple locations—forming a distributed campaign embedded within real neighbourhoods.
Mural designs
CREATIVE Role
Lead Artist across campaign
Concept development for multiple venues
Creation of 20 custom murals
On-site collaboration with business owners
Execution
Each mural was designed in direct response to the individual venue reflecting its brand personality, food offering, and local context.
The process was collaborative and site specific, working closely with business owners to ensure each piece felt authentic to the space.
A consistent visual language was maintained across the campaign using bold linework, colour, and character-driven illustration while allowing each location to retain its own identity.
Executed on-site, the murals were designed to function as both artwork and visibility tools enhancing street presence and encouraging engagement both physically and digitally.
Outcome
20 custom murals delivered across the North West
Contribution to Deliveroo’s national support initiative
Enhanced visibility for independent food businesses
Creation of a cohesive yet flexible campaign across multiple sites
Impact
The project uses artwork as a tool for both visibility and support helping independent businesses stand out within their local environments.
By embedding design directly into the street, the campaign strengthens the connection between brand, place, and community demonstrating how art can operate at scale while remaining locally relevant.
